Device Sharing and link

I have two questions regarding the device sharing feature:

URL Shortening: Is it possible to generate shorter share links directly within Traccar, without having to use external services like Short.io? (using an api from any of this sites.)

Custom Maps on Shared Links: When creating a time-limited share link for a device, how can I configure it so that it uses my Custom Map layer by default instead of the default map provider?

1. We don't have built in link shortening. There are some security concerns with those links.

2. There are two options. One is set up global default provider. Another option is to manually edit the temporary user. For both you need admin access though.

Regarding the second point, could you clarify where to set the global default map provider? I have already configured "Custom XYZ" under Settings > Server > Preferences > Default Map, but when I generate a share link or create a new user, it does not seem to apply this preference by default.

Could you let me know if I am missing a step or if there is another configuration I need to adjust? Thank you!

You have to set available maps in the server attributes. The easiest option is to copy from user attributes.

Hi, I am using Traccar 6.14.5. In Settings → Server → Attributes, I don't see an 'availableMaps' attribute. When I click 'Add Attribute', it's not listed there either. Could you please clarify how to set 'availableMaps' in the server attributes? Should it be added through the UI, via the API, or directly in the database?

In Settings → Server → Attributes - Active Maps → add.
After that you can tnter the maps you like to be active, in my case custom,openFreeMap,locationIqStreets
