If you want to avoid multiple GPS reports with the same location when the car is not moving, you can enable filtering by distance on the server side:
Problem is thst the phone "eats" battery -
Are you using Traccar Client on Android? There is a new release which should help with high power consumption problem.
Are you suggesting to add time intervals to the app when to enable tracking?
Anton - add pls get and sending coords by event time.
Now all coords get and send all time - even that the car are not moving or it's night now
