Is it possible to allow a user viewing a group of devices via the public share link to view the route track of where the device has been over a period of the last x hours?
Allowing access to a restricted version of the Replay report would be one option.
Another option would be for the Live Route to not only display points from the current viewers session but to pull the history from the database to display the last x points or last x minutes of data.

You can enable reports using web.shareDevice.reports config parameter.
