I have send this,

I type
fix030s005n123456
and send to my GPS
nothing happen ?

I can't check logs for you every 5 minutes. If you are using correct port (5001) and your device starts to send GPS data, you will see it in the web interface.

I would suggest to send exact command (with asterisks). Also make sure you device has a GPS fix (it needs to be outdoors to get a fix).

I send with sms like fix060sn123456
I must use asterisks ?
because my GPS send me sms that pwd fail when i type fix060s
n123456, any idea?

GPS fix ? I must locate it at outdoor area to see my GPS on web interface ?
hmm ok I will try soon when I hold it.

I guess you need to clarify commands format with seller or manufacturer. Not sure why it returns password failed.

Ok thank you very much For your assist Anton...
hmm btw can I built my own server traccar on my PC
and use mobile broadband modem ?

Anton Tananaev8 years ago

You don't need to build your own server. You can just download latest release from here:

https://www.traccar.org/download/

If you really want to build your own version, read this:

https://www.traccar.org/build/

You don't need a modem. You just need a public IP address on your PC.

Im sorry, I just read your reply.
Okay...
I have downloaded it,
and on my local PC on my browser I type
localhost:8082 and my IP public is 112.215.64.8 (it change dynamically because I use broadband USB Modem)
I just change 104.43.219.242 to my IP 112.215.64.8 ?

Thank's

Anton Tananaev8 years ago

Yes. Just make sure the port is visible from internet (e.g. firewall doesn't block it, etc).

TK0268 years ago

hmm if I use mikrotik, can I use that public IP ?
if my local IP 192.168.1.2:8082
and public IP 200.12.32.9

I just use IP 200.12.32.9 and PORT:5001 ?

Anton Tananaev8 years ago

You need to configure your router to forward the port.

TK0268 years ago

It means, I need to forward my port (5001) to use it ?
