I do have the following problem: I do not receive data from my GPS tracking device. Could anyone help me out with this?

Devices:
GPS tracker: TK103B
Data server: Traccar on Synology
Moden: Arcadyan VGV7519

Installation:
GPS tracker TK103B:
adminip123456myip 5002 (reply: adminip ok!)
APN123456 internet (reply: APN ok)
Check123456 (reply: GPRS: ON; GPS:ON; GSM:20
fix030s***n123456 (no reply)

Traccar server on Synology:
Name: own name
Identifier: 12-digit code based on IMEI (first 4 digits replaced by ‘0’)

Moden: Arcadyan VGV7519:
Port mapping:
Protocol type: TCP
LAN port: 5002
Public port: 5002
Firewall:
URL Blocking on full range of ‘Client PC IP Address’ enabled

I tried it as well with my iPhone (on port 5005) without result.

Hope some one can help me out.

Are you sure port is visible from internet? You can check here:

Port 5002 is closed, port 5005 is open. I do not see any difference in the settings.

By the way, if you are using Traccar Client, the correct port is 5055 and not 5005.

I changed to 5055 for the client and configured the port forwarding to 5055. Port 5055 is closed.

Maybe it's blocked by firewall? You need to find out why it's closed.

That's indeed a question I have, how to get the ports open. Could you help me out?

Anton Tananaev8 years ago

Usually you need to forward the port on router and open it on firewall. Another option if you already have port 5005 open, you can change ports in Traccar config.

So far as I know I forward the port and opened it on firewall; still nog open port. I do not know anymore. Any ideas?

Just found out that I could open the port 80; but still not the ports 5002 and 5055.

There should be no difference between opening 80 or any other port.

please read https://www.traccar.org/synology/

Differences with Default Traccar

    web interface port is 55000
ports are in Range 55000 – 55999 because, the port range 5000 – 5999 is reserved for Synology services

That helps to open the ports. I remember that I read it, but forgot.

I did two tests:

  1. for iPhone. Modem setup: TCP, LAN port 55001, public port 55001; port is open; iPhone setup: myip, serverport 55001; Server identifier: IMEI iPhone SIM
  2. for TK103B: Modem setup: TCP, LAN port 55002, public port 5002; port is open; TK103B setup: myip, serverport 5002; Server identifier: 12-digit code based on IMEI (first 4 digits replaced by ‘0’)

But still no data logging.

Do those ports show as open in the port check tool?

Yes, they do.
